Why Are We Unique

An estimated 40 million American children participate in organized sports today. Research shows that kids who participate in sports do better academically and are less likely to experiment with drugs. At Camp Fit & Fun, each day is filled with activities that support strong, fit bodies and a healthy lifestyle. Playing sports reinforces fundamental values. We encourage and reward honesty, courage, leadership, unselfishness, sportsmanship, dependability, courtesy, and kindness, which fosters an all-around growth experience.  Please read more below.  Click here to read our Mission Statement!

Inside Camp Fit & Fun

As the Directors of Camp Fit & Fun, it is our desire to provide an ideal environment and a unique experience for younger students to learn valuable athletic skills and establish friendships that will last a lifetime. This is accomplished through programs that are challenging, educational, and fun. Camp Fit & Fun provides an opportunity for personal growth, increased self-esteem, physical fitness development, and friendships to last a life time. Individuals learn how to work as a group while gaining confidence in their own unique abilities. We also provide a wonderful opportunity for our older students with sports and other activities that are age appropriate and keeping them coming back for more! The other camp has a different schedule and works to establish athletic skills as well as competition, both on and off the field We do this by offering activities for this age group that doesn’t require athletic ability. We offer the best of both worlds!

We offer many different sports that include Baseball, Flag Football, Soccer, & indoor hockey, just to name a few. There are also fun games that will promote teamwork and competition.  With different camps going at the same time, Camp Fit & Fun divides the younger campers from the older campers to provide age appropriate activities. Kindergarten through fourth grade level children will be with the activities camp, and sixth through tenth will be in CFF Sports Camp. Several times during the camp week all campers will have the option to choose between sports and other activities.  Very often, campers can decide what activities they would like to do.  If they are feeling active, they can participate in sports or they may choose to read, work on computers, play other games, relax, or a large variety of other activities.  Campers will be together for lunch and morning meeting. Younger children will have Library time. Additionally, campers may have opportunities for hands-on activities either in art, science, or technology!
